Derek is one of the protagonist's co-workers who has recently beaten the protagonist out for a big promotion. Derek is a responsible, accomplished person and never backs down from difficult tasks. However, he seems to be frustrated when his hard work doesn't result in praise or reward.

Katie is the protagonist's old High School crush. Currently, she studies in the University and dates a fellow student named Trent Baker, a relationship with whom is going through a rough patch at the moment.

Matthew is the protagonist's old High School crush. Currently, he studies in the University and dates a fellow student named Ashley Baker, a relationship with whom is going through a rough patch at the moment.

Officer Reynolds, an old family friend of the protagonist, appears to have been sitting in his police car in the neighborhood and watching over protagonist's house. Reynolds is a fine example to the police force he dutifully serves, although currently he's having a hard time on his work where he's been put under internal investigation. His marriage is also in crisis caused by Reynolds's affair.

Trent is Katie's ex-boyfriend who begins harassing the protagonist out of jealousy and desperation and doing everything to return Katie.

Ashley is Matthew's ex-girlfriend who begins harassing the protagonist out of jealousy and desperation and doing everything to return Matthew.

Merrick is a convicted felon who escapes from the prison and attacks the protagonist trying to take the player-character's Book. Merrick possesses his own Book that aids him in his crimes. In the past, Merrick was captured by Officer Reynolds who's following Merrick's trail again since his escape.

The protagonist's sister, Shannon, has been pulling away from the player-character lately, which worries them. Shannon has been suffering from depression for a considerable period of time. As it turns out to be it's her Graham Reynolds is having an affair with.
