Cherry Blossom

Cherry Blossom (also known as Sakura Head) is the only monster found in the game. Anita cannot fight it so she must run through the otherworld mazes to escape from it.

The monster's design, created by Masahiro Ito, was inspired by cherry blossom trees.

"This "cherry blossom trees as one of horror materials" doesn't mean something like splatter or gore one. It's more "lyrical one". I don't like splatter style, gores or something like these in the first place. Also I don't think that horror title always needs blood".

The monster is a representation of Krysta Planert, Anita's mother. Krysta used to be a single mother abusing both Anita and Anita's brother, which led to his death after having him locked in a closet for more than a day. The mother was arrested after the event while Anita tried to go on with her life and forget this traumatic experience.
