Key Summary
- Proceed down the mountain path to the northeast.
- New Game++: Clinical Trial (3) is on a wooden porch of the house at the first path turn.
- Clinical Trial (1) is on a greenish-blue crate next to a house at the second path turn after you encounter an enemy spawning from a flesh cocoon.
- New Game+: Sacred Sword Puzzle. Research Journal Photo 5 and Regarding the "Legend of the Sacred Sword" (6) are on a workbench next to the same house.
- Defeat the monster-spawning enemy to unblock the path and proceed.
- Omamori [Suzuran] is in a crate behind the house to the west, guarded by an enemy.
- New Game+: Sacred Sword Puzzle. The fifth Jizo statue is at the top of the stairs next to the house to the west, after the third path turn. You will find Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife stuck in a tree behind the opposite house. Return to the statue and interact with it to offer the knife (5/5).
- Clinical Trial (2) is on a bench at the top of the stairs next to the fifth Jizo statue.
- New Game+: Sacred Sword (for Endings 2 and 3). Once you've completed all five offerings, it's time to come to the divine tree at the forgotten shrine, which is a long way back across the forest to the southwest. When arriving, Hinako will find the Sacred Sword at the base of the tree. You will receive the Trophy/Achievement: The Malevolent Blade Never Rusts.
- The old Inari-sama shrine can be found at the top of the long stairs in the northwestern corner of the forest. This area will be important during the New Game+ runs.
- Strict Mother’s Letter (1) is in front of the altar.
- New Game+ and New Game++: Sacred Sword Purification (for Endings 2 and 4). With the Sacred Sword in your possession, you can now perform the purification ritual at this shrine. If you have completed the Crimson Water puzzle in the Main Hall previously, the water in the basin will be red, allowing you to perform the ritual. Interact with the basin to put the sword inside and purify it. You will also receive the Trophy/Achievement: Be Free of Your Hatred.
- Proceed down the path. Go to the right around the house and under the tree to find yourself back in the town.
- Go north and enter a park with the playground for a flashback scene.
- Proceed through the park and to the north.
- Dried Carcass (⛩200) is in a crate at the dead end to the south of the park.
- Strict Mother’s Letter (5) is on the porch in a house yard to the north of the park.
- New Game+: Diary of Revenge (5) and Upgrade: Ema are inside the Inari-sama box in the same yard.
- Strict Mother’s Letter (2) is sitting at the northeastern corner of the yard fence, to the right of the Hokora shrine.
- Fight another hatcher to unblock the path and head up the stairs.
- New Game++: Ancient Jizo Statue (for Ending 4). Before going through the house at the top of the stairs, take the right path to find another Jizo statue that is now accessible. Interact with the statue and offer your Brooch to fulfill one of the requirements for Ending 4. You will also receive the Trophy/Achievement: A Gift I Cannot Accept.
- Upgrade: Ema is sitting on a rock to the statue's left. This Ema is the last one to collect in the game.
- Pass through the fenced yard to be back on the mountain path.
- Upgrade: Ema. Before heading to Hinako's house, go south down the mountain path past multiple monsters to find this upgrade on a bench to the east of the blue truck that blocks the street.
- Go up the mountain path and enter the Shimizu residence.
