Walkthrough
Welcome to the complete walkthrough guide for Silent Hill f. This guide will provide a spoiler-free key summary and a complete walkthrough with additional details and explanations.

The key summary provides just basic information to proceed through the game. It also includes all trophy-related collectibles and missable actions required for 100% completion of the game (including New Game+ items). The summary also provides quick solutions for all puzzles for all difficulty levels (Story, Hard, Lost in the Fog). Items and actions not mandatory for the game's progress are marked in italics.
The complete walkthrough sections provide detailed instructions with locations of all key items, including all collectibles, consumables, documents and additional points of interest, in-depth puzzle solutions for all difficulty levels and boss fight strategies. Note that this walkthrough is written for the story combat difficulty, and the locations of some supply items may differ based on your playthrough style.
Both sections will allow you to get all trophies/achievements in the process, although some of them will require multiple playthroughs. Note that certain key items and non-puzzle collectibles will no longer be present in New Game+ if you already picked them up in earlier runs, as they will be carried over to New Game+. Some collectibles only appear after two full playthroughs when you have received at least two different full endings – these are marked as New Game++.
After the walkthrough, you can check the detailed requirements to get all five endings of the game.

Difficulty Settings
Silent Hill f offers three difficulty settings for both action and puzzles.
For action, the Story setting advertises the traditional Silent Hill experience, featuring weaker enemies and more resources (although note that the game will still not be an easy breeze to complete). You will also be able to restore your health and sanity at hokoras without using faith.
Note: The Lost in the Fog action difficulty is only available for the New Game+ playthroughs.
Note: In a November 2025 update, the Casual mode was added, which makes combat significantly easier with faster stamina, less damage taken, and reduced enemy encounters, alongside New Game+ skips, allowing players to focus on story over challenge, making it ideal for a more relaxed, atmospheric experience or for those struggling with the game's higher difficulties.
As for the puzzles, the Hard setting offers a balanced puzzle experience that is true to the traditional Silent Hill style. The Story setting offers very simple puzzles with obvious hints in the journal, whereas the Lost in the Fog setting presents puzzles that can become really obscure and challenging.
All things considered, for a traditional Silent Hill experience, it is recommended to play the game with the Story setting for action difficulty and Hard for puzzles.
